Our policy on unreasonable passenger behaviour

You will no doubt be aware from recent media attention that incidents of unreasonable passenger behaviour are becoming both more frequent and more violent.
 
Astraeus feel that this sort of behaviour is unacceptable, as we are sure you will agree.

The primary role of the cabin crew on our aircraft is your safety. They have been trained to react quickly and efficiently to any emergency situation that may arise, in order to minimise any risk to passengers. For this reason alone the crew must be fit and healthy at all times.

Anybody who attacks a crew member is risking not only fines and imprisonment, they are putting at risk the safety of every other person on board the aircraft.

If you have a legitimate complaint, please let the crew know. If they can resolve the problem on the spot they will. If they can't deal with it there and then, they will take the details and pass your complaint to the relevant department as soon as possible.

If you are upset because you are not allowed to smoke or your flight has been delayed, please don't take it out on the cabin crew. It's not their fault. They are not there to be abused, they are there for your safety

Protecting Passengers

To combat unreasonable behaviour and to protect our crew and passengers, the following actions will be taken

Any passenger who becomes intoxicated during the flight risks the aircraft being diverted to the nearest suitable airport where the offending passenger will be off-loaded. The extra cost this involves will be recovered from the passenger by Astraeus.

Any person found smoking on board the aircraft in contravention of the 'No Smoking' signs will be reported to the police on arrival at their destination.

Any person who is or is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs prior to the flight will be refused boarding.

The police will be called to deal with any instance of unreasonable or unruly behaviour.

Astraeus will seek criminal prosecution against any person using violence or violent threats towards any member of the crew or other passengers.

Astraeus is committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of everybody onboard the aircraft.
