Pilot Vacancies

Due to its expanding airline and training organisation, Astraeus and Bond Aviation, the Astraeus training division, have a variety of positions available on the B737 and B757 aircraft as well as training positions within the airline and the company TRTO.  The training positions include B737, B757 and A320 types.  There will also be opportunities for First Officers wishing to self fund a type rating with a view to an employment contract at one of our bases.  We will need pilots at all our existing bases as well as new bases to open in 2005.  These bases will include LGW, MAN, BHX, KEF and EXT.

Astraeus is looking for Captains, Training Captains, First Officers, TRI and TREs and SFIs.  Suitable candidates will need to be enthusiastic, good at integrating with a team of dedicated individuals and capable working without supervision.  Astraeus' company culture encourages feedback and rewards ambition.  Candidates must be willing to involve themselves in the support and development of the company.

Subject to conditions, Astraeus and Bond are willing to offer a range of training to qualify suitably experienced pilots for some of the posts on offer, therefore, full qualification for the post is not necessarily required, as the overall experience and suitability will be taken into consideration.  Where this applies it is detailed below, along with a list of the positions available and qualification required.  If you meet the requirements for any of the positions listed here and would like to apply, please visit our on-line application form.

Captains - B737 & B757
There are a number of positions for B737 Captains and some for the B757.   B757 position will be LGW based.  Captains should be type rated with 500 hours in command on type, although non-type rated captains with suitable jet experience will be considered.  Consideration will also be given to experienced B737 First Officers suitable for early command.  Such candidates will be required to spend a probationary period as First Officer before assessment for command will be made.

First Officers - B737 & B757
Vacancies exist for experienced B737 & B757 First Officers at all bases.  Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 500 hours on type with a reputable airline.

Training Captains
Astraeus and Bond are also looking for experienced pilots for the position of TRI and TRE on the B737, B757 and A320 for its ever expanding training contracts.  Instructors should hold a current TRI qualification and applicants for the position of TRE must hold or have recently held a UK TRE approval.  Consideration will be given to experienced pilots with TRI qualifications on similar types, as cross type training is available for suitable candidates.

SFIs
A number of vacancies exist for SFIs. These posts will ideally suit pilots no longer able to exercise the privileges of a JAR Licence.  Candidates should have held a JAR TRI qualification on B737, B757 or A320, although training is available for non qualified candidates.  Non qualified candidates will need to have considerable jet experience and have held a valid licence on the B737 or B757 or a similar type.
